Meet Dayna Richardson
HELLO!
A Bit About Dayna
I am a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate identity development, relationships, life transitions, and the challenges of finding their sense of self. I am particularly interested in working with queer and LGBTQ+ clients and creating an affirming, inclusive environment where individuals feel safe to explore their experiences and identities.
My developing counseling approach is grounded in a multicultural and relational perspective. I value understanding each client within the context of their culture, identity, relationships, and lived experiences rather than viewing their concerns in isolation.
As a developing counselor, my goal is to create a therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences without judgment. I look forward to continuing to develop my clinical skills through practicum while learning from supervisors, clients, and the communities I serve.
